CONOSTAN® single and multi-element standards are stable for at least one year. For those rare occasions when stability is a problem, CONOSTAN® stabilizer was developed for use with CONOSTAN® products. The stabilizer is effective for both single and multi-element blends of CONOSTAN® standards in hydrocarbon oil. CONOSTAN® Division uses stabilizer in S-21 and S-12 blended standards at 50ppm concentrations and below. Stabilizer is available in 2oz (50g) bottle sizes.

Tips for using CONOSTAN® Stabilizer:

• Use the stabilizer only for dilutions in oil. The stabilizer is not recommended for solvent dilutions made for ICP and AA analyses. It is not effective for extending the shelf life in solvents.
• Use the stabilizer only when additional stability is required. Indiscriminate use of the stabilizer may result in undesirable changes in instrumental response.
• Use the stabilizer at concentrations of 50ppm and less. We have observed no benefit from the use of stabilizer at concentrations above 50ppm.
