Conostan prepares hundreds of custom blends to meet unique customers' requirements. In most cases, specific material safety data sheets (MSDS) are not available for the many combinations of elements and concentrations.
For custom blends for which no specific MSDS is available, the following instructions apply:
- If any component in the blend is hazardous, use the MSDS for that component for guidance.
- If more than one component in the blend is hazardous, use a "worst-case scenario" in handling the blend. For example, if the blend contains beryllium and cobalt, use the beryllium MSDS for guidance since it is more hazardous than cobalt.
- If no component in the blend is hazardous, follow the guidelines from a MSDS for a nonhazardous component in the blend.
